How To Solder - Intro/Joining Stranded Wires - Part 1
Переглядів 1,2 млн11 років тому
THANKS FOR WATCHING! PLEASE RATE, COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE!!! A quick video I made explaining the basics of the art of soldering. This video is part 1 in a 2 part series explaining the basics and showing the method I use to join different diameter wires together. Some people might prefer to crimp in something like a butt connector, but I swear by solder and will avoid crimping whenever possible.

Great video, ty
Thank you thank you. Never wrenched on cars but gonna go for it. Blown head gasket which means I’m replacing water pump and timing belt while I’m at it. Very clear explanation and appreciate you actually showing where to look. You’ve got a new subscriber!
Great video. You’re a good teacher.
You are the BOMB.... Drew a diagram instead of Mickey mouse fiddling with the light n camera Damn good stuff mister!
Hey, sewing is scientifically proven to lower blood pressure more than any known hobby ! The winner of at least 1 quilt festival was a man named Ricki Tim's.
Great job
I was doing everything wrong. I came to You Tube for help and found your video. Thank you for these clear instructions I learned a lot. Im fixing wires from a outdoor web cam that were eaten by squirrels.
Lotsa views - ideal starter for cheapin out.
not SODER but SOLDER
115 volts ! I was using a solder gun from O'Reilly autoparts store that I bought to solder a wire harness on my low beam headlight. It wouldn't get the wire hot enough to solder. The solder gun is 60 watts plug in.
i soldered a wire for ignition system on a GSR engine in a 1995 honda civic and one night it would not start i found the solder connection broke off from flexing i was sad... this is why they do not solder wiring on cars and trucks they crimp them and they are stranded wiring, i did learn that in college when i took a 1 year class on auto electrical.... it was a great class to take and learn something like no solder on some things.. but just crimp them together for flexing problems... they will flex and brake off like mine did ....
Seen a car in a parking lot with shoelaces attached to the windshield wipers came here to figure out exactly what was going on.
You da Man!
Good Video . And No crappy background Music like they play at your local 7/11 ! Thanks !
Thanks for this video bro awesome instructions very simple and straightforward 👏👏👏
Hey jersey. I'm a pa prepped. Lehigh county
Thank you so much for the video and the drawing. I'm off by a bit. You saved my ass. Nice to find a 10 year old video!
Can you bend a stranded wire that has been soldered? I needed to do so in order to get the wire up through an exit hole in a blender. Just hoping I didn't loosen the solder. Thanks in advance.
Should add some flip cameras
Nice video 👍
How much thst set Tsp & Die?
How much that set?
2022 never too late to learn a skill 😈
Amazing!
Love seeing other peoples ideas. I’m hoping to set up a mobile storage unit and utilize an outfitters tent as my shelter. That way I can maximize the trailer space for survival gear, food and water and not bring the creature comforts of home with me. In any survival scenario it’s about living and hoping the situation eventually gets better. I would rather have gear than a kitchen sink.
Solder should look smooth, shiny, concave, and covering
Hello there, here and ready
How'd you get photos of my bad solder connections?
You want to know what I think? I love it.
Is this guy still making videos?
Good vid! They all skipped the explanation about the torque and clutch. I always just had a reg. drill I did a million thing and slow to fast depending on the trigger squeeze. Now theres hammer drills...and screwdrivers w numbers and settings and torques and clutches . I A great gift but Im like what the heck are these numbers? So no need for countersink bits w this. I forgot about 'See Jane drill' shes a good instructor too!! thank you
I know that park.
Great product!!! Would buy again.
Everything works great!
Finally the video that explains it all thank you so much
_U talk too much_
You might consider holding on to that gps tracker, if it's got a sim card in it or something... And use it as an anti-theft tool on your truck if you need to track it.
Looks great.
I took my timing belt off at top dead center but didn’t make sure it was specifically cylinder 1... I took off distributor cap and my rotor is facing spark plug wire 1. So am I good?
Bades intro I’ve ever seen
EXCELLENT!
This super GAY.
I love that you watched some youtube vids to learn to make your own curtains. Well done! I also thought it was brilliant that you have a portable icemaker... I hadn't thought of that. Great idea! You are doing a great job on it. So fun to see.
Nice.
Excellent video and narration.
I'm curious...the "bad" examples are they only bad as in cosmetic wise or also functioning wise? Are they weaker joints, weaker conduction?
Looks like shyt
EXTRA TIP use silicone before sliding over the shrink-tube then heat from the middle out
Intelligent, and clearly illustrated. Thank you.
